Celia Anne Olthuis

Welcome to my personal site.

Anyways, enough me about me. As of today, there is someone new in the Olthuis family who is much more important than myself that I’m stoked to talk about (and I’m positive you all would rather hear about). At 5:07 in the morning we welcomed a very sweet, healthy, and absolutely beautiful girl into our lives, Celia Anne Olthuis. She weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces and is 19 1/2 inches long.

Celia (undecided) Olthuis

For those of you that don’t know, this babies sex was a mystery even to Amy and Myself. We really enjoy the suprise and have a riot with the pregnancy not knowing. Of course, I was hoping for a boy but just like with Adalyn it took all of 1 second for this gorgeous angel to have me wrapped around her finger. I would literally do anything for the well being of my little girl, same with you Adalyn. I’m sure Celia will be able to get anything she wants out of me too, we all know Adalyn does a great job with this.

Those of you who know me personally know that I’m a huge wuss when it comes to the whole hospital thing. I really was dead set that I wouldn’t be in that room for this birth, I just didn’t think I could handle it. Well, Amy talked me into staying in the room, actually she just told me I didn’t have a choice, but she agreed that I could hide behind a curtain so I didn’t have to see anything that would give me nightmares for the next 10 years. As soon as the baby was born the doctor held her on my side of the curtain so I could annouce the sex, when I saw it was a girl I was in shock and couldn’t say a word.

A few seconds later, when it all set in, tears of joy wept down my face. I immediately called both sets of Grandparents to annouce the wonderful news, when I started telling my Dad about Celia I really choked up bad. I was a complete mess practically balling my eyes out. I was so happy I just couldn’t hold my emotions in, and I’m one that normally doesn’t show his emotions. Having a child is the most amazing feeling; no drug, alcohol, or sexual pleasure can ever begin to compete with it. I am so happy and proud to have another daughter in our family and thank the lord for the wonderful blessing of our beautiful, healthy baby.

Mom andCelia are doing great. It’s almost midnight as I’m writing this and they are both in the hospital for one more night. I think Amy probably has the easiest labor’s of anyone we know. She says she didn’t feel a thing and this baby came extremely fast, I think at most there was 5 minutes of actual pushing, if that. The doctor who came in on call was only there for maybe 30 minutes total.

Amy, Adalyn, Celia, and I would like thank all of our friends & family for the support and everything they’ve given us, we appreciate it more than you know. We’d also like to give a shout out the all the hospital staff who provided us with a great experience and a trouble free birth, you guys rock!

Alright, I guess I can start this off. First of all, I am so happy that for the Olthuis’ new addition. What a beautiful new addition to the family and I can’t wait to meet CeCe.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives and I can’t tell you how much your family means to me. Just one more reason to spread the love.

Cameron - three beautiful women…what are you going to do, buddy? Start cleaning shotguns (after the mandatory waiting period) and heaven help the boys that come knockin’.

Ads - you look really cute in your pictures with your baby sister. She is in goods hands with you watching over her. I can remember the day you were born…unbelievable! Teach her well and daddy will be putty in your hands (even more so now). Love ya!

Love you guys and I hope to see real soon.
