Apple Goes Social Networking?

Looks like Apple is making a strong push towards social networking

Several recent Apple developments suggest that the company is ramping up for a huge push of social features in its software…

What I find interesting is that Apple’s really going against the grain here. It seems like everyone, including Microsoft, is trying to bring desktop apps to the web. Apple on the other hand is bringing the web to the desktop. Hmmm.

Maybe Tara was onto something here.

Your Google Top 10

Why is it that so many companies wait until the bad results already show up in Google before they start managing their reputation? They should be hitting this stuff the minute it’s published. It’s much easier to manage “Your Google Top Ten” if you do. Although it’s just as important to respond immediately, regardless of Google.

Back From SES and WordCamp

I just got home from being up in Northern California for the week. We started off last weekend in San Francisco where we attended WordCamp and some of the parties that took place around that. Neil and I were asked to give a Q&A on SEO for blogging. I think it went pretty good and we got some great feedback from it. Bill Slawski from SEO by the Sea was in the audience and helped us by providing additional answers for the audience when needed.

Interview With Guy Kawasaki

I did an interview with Guy Kawasaki over email a couple weeks ago and I just posted it up on Pronet Advertising. I asked him some questions about venture capital, marketing, and his personal success. It’s worth the read. For those of you who don’t know who Guy is you should check out his blog.

Are You an Expert?

I’ve met a lot of great people up here at WordCamp and the one thing that I’ve come to realize is that anyone can become an expert on anything. I don’t mean that in a bad way like a know-it-all. Information is so abundant right now that if you pick the right niche you can become an expert, start a blog, and actually make money doing so. You don’t need to go to school and get a degree, all you need is a desire and a passion.

So find something you’re passionate about and start blogging.
