I visit my reader and checkout my favorite blogs, but twitter pushes stories at me I might not have caught elsewhere. 'Top 8 Shark-Attack Beaches" - I saw your tweet, checked out the post and stumbled. TwitterFox runs in the background as I go about my normal work flow. Twitter is a nice way to:

a) listen to the collective voice(s) of a community. “What’s the buzz”

b) absorb news, trends, and information you may missed through other mediums. I visit my reader and checkout my favorite blogs, but twitter pushes stories at me I might not have caught elsewhere.

‘Top 8 Shark-Attack Beaches” – I saw your tweet, checked out the post and stumbled.

TwitterFox runs in the background as I go about my normal work flow. When something catches my eye, I’ll check it out.

Hope your family and you are all doing fine. My reason for using twitter: to stay in touch with the people i highly value, such as you, but, due to geografic differences, do not have the ability to do so on a personal basis. We all meet cool people throughout our lives, but seldom have the opportunity, to actually stay in touch and build a friendship. I hope, the Web as a whole will enable this to all of us, as I personally have made the acquaintance of many peole, I really liked. I second Stuntie by saying: get Twhirl to make it push instead of pull. I'm pretty sure Calacanis used the following strategy: follow as many people as he could find. Any of these people: "holy crap, Calacanis is following me. I'll definitely follow him". Ignore everyone you're following (or unfollow them). Bam, you have tons of followers.
