Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters

A couple months ago my good friend Greg Hartnett, who has a daughter of his own, sent me an awesome book about raising daughters.

The book is called Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters and is about building relationships with your daughter(s) to help shape her life so she grows up healthy, happy and responsible. The book is very good and I’d recommend it to any dad that has daughters. I’m dreading those teenage-years because I know payback is a bitch so this book had a lot of great advice for me. Hopefully I can raise my daughters to be strong and stay away from guys like me.

Since Greg was very generous by sending me this book I want to pay-it-forward. I am going to send the first 3 dads with daughters that contact me a free copy.

Thanks again Greg!

** Update:
Sorry folks. I should have mentioned this earlier but the three copies are long gone. Thanks.

First Time On the Links This Year

I can’t believe it’s already May and I just golfed the other day for the first time this year. Especially since I live in San Diego and you can play all year round, pathetic.

I checked out this newer course in Oceanside called Arrowood. If you’re in the San Diego area I’d recommend checking it out, it’s a nice course and they don’t charge and arm and leg like others do.

And just in case you’re wondering I shot 54+41=95. The first few holes killed me as I worked off all the rust.

SES NY Recap

I had a blast at SES New York. These conferences are really starting to turn into part vacation for me. Sure, there’s a lot of hard work and business to be done, but doing so is a lot of fun. I attribute that to the great folks in the SEO industry who are just about all super friendly, laid-back, and know how to have a great time.

I met so many new people in New York and would say that my drink offer was a big success. It really is a great way to meet new people and I would recommend trying it if you’re shy like me.

SES NY: Can I Buy You a Drink?

I’m leaving on a early morning flight to New York for Search Engine Strategies for the next week. I’ll be speaking on Friday morning and other than that I’ll just be cruising around the conference floor and hanging out. Hopefully experiencing New York a little.

So, about those drinks: If you come say hi to me and mention this post I’ll buy you a drink. See you in New York!

I’d Still Rather Have a Ferrari

But the Bugatti is pretty damn amazing, 250 mph in a road car. Wow!
